Lonely Poeple

In the bathroom. In the shower. In front of the mirror.
Lonely people.

In the room. In the hallway. In the lobby.
Lonely people.

In the bar. In the pub. In the restaurant.
Lonely people.

In the park. In the metro. In the offices.
Lonely people.

In the malls. In the shops. In the food courts.
Lonely people.

In the cinema. In the amusement park. In the cafés.
Lonely people.

In discussions. In debates. In casual chats.
Lonely people.

In loss. In celebration. In regular everyday life.
Lonely people.

In therapy. In tears. In pain.
Lonely people.

Lovely people. Hideous people. Okay people.
Lonely people.

Living. Dead. Yet to be born.
Lonely people.

Crossed arms. Plugged earphones. No eye-contact.
Seeking people yet distancing themselves. Hiding themselves behind a phone, a book, or some pretense of being busy.
Didn’t choose the way in. Don’t know the way out. Don’t even know if they need a way out.

Driven by ambition.
Lost in passion.
Defeated to the core.
Lonely people.

Eating alone. While being with others.
Sleeping alone. While being with others.
Meeting alone. While being with others.

The more people, the more loneliness.
The world, a massive sphere of scattered loneliness.
8 billion humans. 20 quintillion lives. Infinite possibilities.
Yet, lonely people.

Zombies under cheerful skins.
Lonely people.
